Dana’s Bio
Dana Davidson’s passion and enthusiasm for great yachts began with a 29’ Class A Northeast Harbor sloop his parents kept on a mooring in Marblehead, Massachusetts. Since then, his sailing adventures have taken him all over New England, to San Francisco Bay, Europe, and parts of the Caribbean. His most memorable voyages include riding out Hurricane Juan on a Little Harbor 62 en route to Antigua, sailing from St. Lucia to the Grenadines, and family trip off the Isle of Skye at Loch Bay.
Dana headed west to the University of Montana but his summers were spent teaching sailing at a summer camp in Maine and on Boston Harbor. After a brief stint at Prudential Bache, Dana began working in the yachting industry as a broker for several manufacturers and distributors of power and sail boats. In 1996 he founded his own brokerage firm, Davidson Yachts, in Barrington, Rhode Island. His interest in working with larger yachts in broader national and international based markets would eventually lead him to Little Harbor Yacht Brokers. His loyal clients followed; many of whom have purchased more than one yacht from this energetic and knowledgeable broker.
Off the water, Dana enjoys ski racing, hiking, tennis, fishing, and spending time with his wife Sally and two children; Mackenzie and Conner.
Dana is a Certified Professional Yacht Broker, has been a board member of the Yacht Brokers Association of America, and is a member of the Florida Yacht Brokers Association.
Dana enjoys working with his clients of longstanding, many of whom he considers close friends and is always ready and eager to offer his assistance to new clients.
